orange shirt dayThe sea of orange shirts took over the Lamoureux Park in Cornwall on Monday, September 30th, 2024. Our information booth was flooded with students ready to paint their hands, ask questions, and check out the posters of school histories. Visitors from all over gathered to show support and engagement with the Survivors of Akwesasne.
A traditional meal of corn soup, strawberry drink, and a wild rice dessert was served to the Survivors, their families, singers and dancers, and vendors. The VIP Area prepared for the RSS consisted of free shirts, orange carnations, free lunch, and the day dedicated to them.
